Lifelong learning begins with us.

Select Education is a concierge microschool serving families in North Scottsdale who want something different for their children. We combine the intimacy of a small community school with personalized, responsive education. Every child is known deeply. Every family has a voice. Learning is tailored to your child's pace and interests, grounded in child-led exploration and real-world discovery.

At Select Education, learning isn't passive. Students engage with real materials, solve actual problems, and discover concepts through exploration — not worksheets. Our curriculum is grounded in child-led discovery within a carefully prepared environment, with strong academics woven throughout. We believe children learn best when they're curious, when they have choices, and when learning connects to the real world.

We believe education is about the whole child: academic excellence, character development, and the confidence to be themselves. Our teachers know each student deeply — their strengths, interests, challenges, and dreams. We partner with families to ensure every child feels seen, supported, and capable of making a difference.

"We invite students to see themselves as capable, responsible, and creative learners who can make a difference in their communities."

Answers to your most important questions.

We know choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you'll make. Here are detailed answers to the questions families ask most often. Don't see yours? Reach out — we love talking with families.

Tuition is $1,500 per month, which includes your child's full academic program, all curriculum materials, and learning resources. This investment in a concierge microschool education means your child gets personalized attention, a tight-knit community, and education tailored to their pace and interests.

Before-care (7:15–8:00 a.m.) and after-school care (3:00–5:30 p.m.) are both included at no additional charge. There are no hidden fees for extended day coverage.

Yes — we proudly accept Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) funds. Arizona's ESA program is one of the most generous school-choice programs in the country, and it can significantly offset or fully cover your child's tuition at Select Education.

The ESA program provides eligible Arizona families with a scholarship account funded at approximately 90% of what the state would have spent on your child in a public school — typically between $7,000 and $9,000 per year, with higher amounts for students with special needs. These funds can be used for private school tuition, curriculum materials, tutoring, and more.

Who qualifies? Any Arizona K–12 student is eligible — there are no income requirements and no prior public school attendance required. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

ClassWallet is the official digital wallet platform used by the Arizona Department of Education to manage and distribute ESA funds. Select Education is a registered ClassWallet partner, which means we can accept ESA payments directly and seamlessly — no paper checks or complicated reimbursement processes.

Here's how it works for families:

  1. Apply for ESA through the Arizona Department of Education at azed.gov/esa.
  2. Once approved, your ESA funds are loaded into your ClassWallet account each quarter.
  3. Pay tuition directly to Select Education through the ClassWallet platform — we handle the rest.
  4. Track spending easily through your ClassWallet dashboard at any time.

Our team is happy to walk you through the ESA application and ClassWallet setup process. Just reach out — we've helped many families navigate it successfully.

Yes — both are included at no extra charge. Your $1,500/month tuition covers:

  • Before-care: 7:15 – 8:00 a.m.
  • Academic day: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • After-school care: 3:00 – 5:30 p.m.

There is no additional fee for early drop-off or late pick-up within these hours.

Yes — we offer one-on-one tutoring at $50 per hour. Tutoring is available to both enrolled Select Education students and children from the broader community — no enrollment required.

Tutoring is a great complement to any learning environment, whether your child attends Select Education or another school. Sessions can focus on reading, math, writing, or any subject area where your child would benefit from extra support or enrichment.

To schedule a tutoring session or ask about availability, reach out to [email protected] or call (480) 381-4021. You can also use the tutoring request form on our website.

Beyond the monthly tuition, the only additional costs families may encounter are:

  • Field trips and community outings (typically $20–$60 per trip)
  • Optional enrichment activities or elective clubs
  • A small personal school supply list (approximately $50–$100/year)

There are no enrollment fees, registration fees, or charges for before/after care. What you see is what you pay.
